Junior chef from South London

My name is Iris, I am 8 and I live in East Dulwich with my mum, dad and kitten Wiz and we all love to eat!! I have had a YouTube cookery channel for a while but I started this blog so I can share my favourite recipes and restaurants with you. I also have some of my recipes featured on the Dulwich On View blog. My favourite foods are sushi, tapas, pizza, Vietnamese and Sri Lankan. I am lucky enough to have lots of chef friends who cook with me in my videos too. My cooking inspiration is Chef Maya from Pretty Tapas. Sri Lankan Pol Sambol

Here’s a cookery video I filmed when I was in Sri Lanka in Summer 2016. My aunty has an outdoor kitchen! Pol sambol is a fiery coconut side dish which has three types of chilli in it. I like it on fluffy white bread with lots of butter and then the sambol sprinkled on top. Ingredients below the video.

Ingredients:
2 cups scraped, fresh coconut or desiccated coconut (add 1/4 cup of warm water and mix well to moisten the desiccated coconut).
2 small shallots, diced.
1 small green chilli, sliced.
2 tsp hot red chili powder
1 tsp hot chilli flakes
1 tsp Salt.
1-2 tsp Maldive fish (optional).
Lime juice

Kimchi crepes with AYA Peckham

I cooked kimchi crepes with AYA at Fat Boy in Peckham. Kimchi is korean fermented cabbage which is spicy and garlicky and very good for you. The crepe is a very yummy vegetarian recipe and easy to cook! It goes well with the Morning Green Juice. Ingredients below the video.

Ingredients:
Plain Flour
Milk
Egg
Kimchi
Seasoning
Soy sauce
Balsamic glaze
